Maidstone is a great place to invest - excellent road/rail/air links, a ready supply of skilled workers, cheaper property and labour costs, proximity to the Continent - and many businesses could be eligible for a Selective Finance for Investment in England grant to help grow their business or set up a new one. Maidstone is a designated area eligible for Tier 3 grants. All awards are discretionary and the level of assistance depends on company size, location, project expenditure and number of skilled jobs created or safeguarded, but a small business (less than 50 employees) could get up to £2.5m and a medium business (less than 250 employees) could receive up to £1.25m. The South East Grant Advisory Service (Se-gas) offers free grant advice and assistance to companies looking to relocate to or expand in Kent and Medway. Next step |
